Bill 16 was created to preserve the integrity of condominiums in the long term and protect condo owners. In 2023, the provision regarding the execution of reserve fund studies is expected to be put into effect. This means that from the date of implementation of this provision, any new condominiums will need to carry out reserve fund studies immediately whilst condominiums previously established will have three years to carry one out. This information is subject to change, therefore it is important for all condominium owners to keep an eye out for the implementation of this provision and what it entails.
